RTMA Apprenticeship Program

Apprenticeship is a formalized training program that allows employees to earn while they learn. The RTMA is the greater Rochester and Finger Lakes regional sponsor of the NYS Registered Apprenticeship Program. Under an intermediary agreement with the NYS Department of Labor, the RTMA sponsors more than a dozen advanced manufacturing trades. This exclusive sponsorship allows the RTMA to partner with companies under their sponsorship – which removes a significant burden for businesses.

The RTMA serves more than 30 companies and over 200 individual apprentices throughout the nine-county region. Companies are located in Monroe, Genesee, Livingston, Orleans, Wyoming, Wayne, Ontario, Seneca and Yates counties.
