ROC With Your Hands
The RTMA is sponsoring the third annual ROC With Your Hands career exploration event this fall. The event is hosted by the City of Rochester in partnership with Monroe County, Monroe Community College, the Finger Lakes Youth Apprenticeship Program, the Builders Exchange of Rochester, and UNiCON.
The event will be on Tuesday, October 1st, 2024 from 8:30am – 2:00pm at the Rochester Community Sports Complex in downtown Rochester. (Extreme weather date is October 3rd)
The event is open to all schools in Monroe County: public, private/parochial, charter, and homeschool. The event is for 7th – 12th grade students.
Students will be exposed to careers in Advanced Manufacturing, Skilled Trades, Heavy Equipment, and Auto Tech through a variety of hands-on demonstrations and activities. Lunch is also provided free of charge!
Employers/Vendors Needed!
We are looking for employers/vendors to participate and showcase what you have to offer to the students through hands-on demos, activities, and handouts. Please fill out the registration form linked below by September 13th, 2024.
Volunteers Needed!
We are also looking for volunteers to help us on the day of the event. You would be helping with registration and directing students through the different areas of the event. Please fill out the registration form linked below by September 13th, 2024.
