Congratulations to all our RTMA apprentices!

2023

On January 10, 2024, Adam Irwin of SI Solutions in Victor, Ontario County received his Journey Worker card and certificate as a Mold Maker. Adam completed the program and is LSI Solutions’ first apprentice to achieve the accomplishment. Congratulations, Adam on becoming the RTMA’s 45th apprentice to complete the program!

 


 

 

On January 5, 2024, Grant Bauman of Jrlon’s EPD in Spencerport, Monroe County received his Journey Worker card and certificate. Grant completed the NYS Registered Apprenticeship Program as a CNC Machinist. Congratulations, Grant on becoming the RTMA’s 44th apprentice to complete the program!

 


 

 

On January 4, 2024, Jose Tirado Cardona of Nortera Foods in Bergen, Genesee County was presented his Journey Worker card and certificate. Jose completed the NYS Registered Apprenticeship program as an Industrial Manufacturing Technician and is Nortera’s first Journey Worker. Congratulations, Jose on becoming the RTMA’s 43rd apprentice to complete the program!

 


 

 

On October 11, 2023, Joe Nesbitt of Eastman Kodak in Rochester, Monroe County was presented his Journey Worker certificate and card. Joe completed the NYS Registered Apprenticeship program as a Plant Maintenance Pipefitter and is the RTMA’s first Journey Worker in the trade. Congratulations to Joe on becoming the 42nd RTMA apprentice and third Kodak apprentice to complete the program!

 


 

 

 

On August 10, 2023, Brett Stonewell of Eastman Kodak in Rochester, Monroe County was presented his Journey Worker card and certificate. Brett completed the NYS Registered Apprenticeship program as an Electromechanical Technician and is Kodak’s first Journey Worker in the trade. Congratulations to Brett on becoming the 41st RTMA apprentice to complete the program!


 

On July 11, 2023, Allison Danielak of PGM Corporation in Rochester, Monroe County was presented her Journey Worker card and certificate for successfully completing the New York State Registered Apprenticeship Program as a Tool Maker. Allison is the 40th Apprentice to successfully complete the RTMA’s program. Congratulations!


 

On June 9, 2023, Kristopher Brownell of Eastman Kodak in Rochester, Monroe County was presented his Journey Worker certificate and card for successfully completing the New York State Registered Apprenticeship Program as a Building Maintenance Mechanic. Kris is the region’s first Journey Worker in the trade and is the first Kodak apprentice to earn their Journey Worker status. Congratulations on becoming the RTMA’s 39th Apprentice to successfully complete the program!


 

On April 21, 2023, Evin Tylenda of Advanced Atomization Technologies in Clyde, Wayne County was awarded his Journey Worker certificate and card for successfully completing the New York State Registered Apprenticeship Program as a Tool Maker. Evin is the 38th RTMA Apprentice to successfully complete the program. Congratulations!


 

On February 9, 2023, George Knapp of Advanced Atomization Technologies in Clyde, Wayne County was awarded his Journey Worker certificate and card for successfully completing the New York State Registered Apprenticeship Program as a Manufacturing Engineering Technician. George is the first MET Journey Worker of the RTMA’s Apprenticeship Program. Congratulations to George on becoming the 37th RTMA Apprentice to successfully complete the program!


 

On February 8, 2023, Lindy Delapenha was awarded his Journey Worker certificate and card for successfully completing the New York State Registered Apprenticeship Program as an Electromechanical Technician. Congratulations to Lindy on becoming the 36th RTMA apprentice to successfully complete the program!


 

2022

On September 6, 2022, Rick Hoad of Barilla American in Avon, Livingston County, was awarded his Journey Worker certificate and card for successfully completing the New York State Registered Apprenticeship Program as an Industrial Manufacturing Technician. Congratulations to Rick on becoming the 35th RTMA apprentice to successfully complete the program!


 

On August 3, 2022, David DeGrande Jr. of Acro Industries in Rochester, was awarded his Journey Worker certificate for successfully completing the New York State Apprenticeship Program as an Electromechanical Technician. Congratulations to David on becoming the 34th RTMA apprentice to successfully complete the program!


 

On June 28, 2022, Marlin Walker, of Nordon Plastics in Rochester, was awarded his Journey Worker certificate for successfully completing the New York State Apprenticeship Program as a Mold Maker. Congratulations to Marlin on becoming the 33rd RTMA apprentice to successfully complete the program!


 

On June 23, 2022, Brian Guillod, of Barilla America in Avon, was awarded his Journey Worker certificate for successfully completing the New York State Apprenticeship Program as an Industrial Manufacturing Technician. Congratulations Brian on being the 32nd RTMA apprentice to successfully complete the Apprenticeship Program!


 

On April 29, 2022, Bob Pendock, of Advanced Atomization in Clyde, was awarded his Journey Worker certificate for successfully completing the New York State Apprenticeship Program as a Tool Maker. Congratulations Bob on being the 31st RTMA apprentice to successfully complete the Apprenticeship Program!


 

On April 27, 2022, Rodney Hay, of Love Beets in Rochester, was awarded his Journey Worker certificate for successfully completing the New York State Apprenticeship Program as an Electromechanical Technician. Congratulations Rodney on being the 30th RTMA apprentice to successfully complete the Apprenticeship Program!


 

On March 8, 2022, Derrick Aycock, of Commodore in Bloomfield, was awarded his Journey Worker certificate for successfully completing the New York State Apprenticeship Program as an Machine Builder. Congratulations Derrick on being the 29th RTMA apprentice to successfully complete the Apprenticeship Program!


 

On March 4, 2022, David Bradshaw was awarded his Journey Worker certificate for successfully completing the New York State Registered Apprenticeship Program as an Electromechanical Technician at Terphane in Bloomfield. Congratulations to David for being the 28th RTMA Apprentice to successfully complete the program!


 

On March 2, 2022, Sam Donato, of Maris Systems Design in Spencerport, was awarded his Journey Worker certificate for successfully completing the New York State Apprenticeship Program as an Electromechanical Technician. Congratulations Sam on being the 27th RTMA apprentice to successfully complete the Apprenticeship Program!


 

On January 13, 2022, Brian Domaire, of PGM Corp. in Rochester, was awarded his Journey Worker certificate for successfully completing the New York State Apprenticeship Program as a Quality Assurance Auditor. Congratulations Brian on being the 26th RTMA apprentice to successfully complete the Apprenticeship Program!


 

2021

On December 20, 2021, Tyler Cotturone of Rochling Medical in Rochester was awarded his Journey Worker certificate and card for successfully completing the New York State Registered Apprenticeship Program as a Mold Maker. Congratulations to Tyler on being the 25th RTMA apprentice to successfully complete the Apprenticeship Program!


 

On December 2, 2021, Derek Whitfield, of Nordon, Inc. in Rochester, was awarded his Journey-Worker certificate for successfully completing the New York State Apprenticeship Program as a Mold Maker. Congratulations Derek on being the 24th RTMA apprentice to successfully complete the Apprenticeship Program!


 

On December 1, 2021, Kevin Fitch, of Acro Industries in Rochester, was awarded his Journey-Worker certificate for successfully completing the New York State Apprenticeship Program as a CNC Machinist. Congratulations Kevin on being the 23rd RTMA apprentice to successfully complete the Apprenticeship Program!


 

On October 6, 2021, Abdul Wali-Wakil, of Nordon Plastics in Rochester, was awarded his Journey-Worker certificate for successfully completing the New York State Apprenticeship Program as a Mold Maker. Congratulations Abdul on being the 22nd RTMA apprentice to successfully complete the Apprenticeship Program!


 

On August 25, 2021, Jacob Allen, of OptiPro Systems in Ontario, was awarded his Journey-Worker certificate for successfully completing the New York State Apprenticeship Program as a CNC Machinist. Congratulations Jacob on being the 21st RTMA apprentice to successfully complete the Apprenticeship Program!


 

On August 23, 2021, Kenneth Swol, of Maris Systems Design in Spencerport, was awarded his Journey-Worker certificate for successfully completing the New York State Apprenticeship Program as an Electromechanical Technician. Congratulations Shane on being the 20th RTMA apprentice to successfully complete the Apprenticeship Program!


 

On July 20, 2021, Shane Snyder of Lapp Insulators in LeRoy, Genesee County, was awarded his Journey-Worker certificate for successfully completing the New York State Apprenticeship Program as a Maintenance Mechanic (Automated Equipment). Congratulations Shane on being the 19th RTMA apprentice to successfully complete the Apprenticeship Program!


 

On July 7, 2021, Anthony Muntz was awarded his Journey-Worker certificate for successfully completing the New York State Apprenticeship Program as an Electromechanical Technician. Anthony previously worked at Aludyne (Chassix) in Batavia and is now at Moog, Inc. Congratulations Anthony on being the 18th RTMA apprentice to successfully complete the Apprenticeship Program!


 

On April 15, 2021, Lance Seppe of Aludyne, located in Batavia, was awarded his Journey-Worker certificate for successfully completing the New York State Apprenticeship Program as an Electromechanical Technician.  Congratulations Lance on being the 17th RTMA apprentice to successfully complete the Apprenticeship Program!


 

On March 12, 2021, Dean Palermo of Lapp Insulators in Le Roy, Genesee County, was awarded his Journey-Worker certificate for successfully completing the New York State Apprenticeship Program as a Maintenance Mechanic (Automated Equipment).  Congratulations Dean on being the 16th RTMA apprentice to successfully complete the Apprenticeship Program!


 

On February 11, 2021, Robert Bombard of Aluydne, located in Batavia, was awarded his New York State Journey-Worker certificate for successfully completing the New York State Apprenticeship Program as an Electromechanical Technician. Congratulations Robert on being the 15th RTMA apprentice to successfully complete the Apprenticeship Program!


 

On January 15, 2021, Sam Swenson from Optipro was awarded his New York State Journey-Worker certificate for successfully completing the New York State Apprenticeship Program as an Electromechanical Technician. Congratulations Sam on being the 14th RTMA apprentice to successfully complete the Apprenticeship Program.


 

On January 15, 2021, Josh Torres from Optipro was awarded his New York State Journey-Worker certificate for successfully completing the New York State Apprenticeship Program as a Quality Assurance Auditor. Congratulations Josh on being the 13th RTMA apprentice to successfully complete the Apprenticeship Program.


 

2020

On December 17, 2020, Greg McFarlane from Roechling Medical, Rochester NY division was awarded his New York State Journey-Worker certificate for his successful completion of the New York State Mold Maker Apprenticeship Program. Congratulations Greg on being the 12th RTMA apprentice to successfully complete the Apprenticeship Program.


 

On December 10, 2020, Stephen Thomas From OptiPro was awarded his New York State Journey-Worker certificate for successfully completing the New York State Apprenticeship Program as a Precision Optics Technician. Congratulations Stephen on being the 11th RTMA apprentice to successfully complete the program.


 

On December 10, 2020, Kyle Wood from OptiPro successfully completed his New York State Apprenticeship and was awarded his Journey-worker certificate as a Precision Optics Technician. Congratulations Kyle on being the 10th RTMA apprentice to successfully complete the program.


 

On December 10, 2020, Robert Lebeau from Arnprior successfully completed his New York State Apprenticeship Program and received his Journey – Worker certificate as a Quality assurance auditor. Congratulations Robert on being RTMA’s 9th apprentice to successfully complete the program.


 

On December 9, 2020, David Warfle from Love Beets was awarded his New York State Journey-worker certificate as an Industrial Manufacturing Technician. Congratulations David you are RTMA’s 8th apprentice to successfully complete the program.


 

March 4, 2020. Bob Coyne from the Rochester Technology and Manufacturing Association (RTMA) and Steve Burton, Operations Manager at JML Optical, congratulate Jeffrey Muir from JML Optical. He graduated as our first Precision Optics Technician from the RTMA Apprenticeship Program. Jeffrey was an outstanding apprentice and student at MCC and we wish him well in his career.
