RTMA Statement on Tech Hub Announcement

Rochester leaders came out in full force this week to celebrate that the Buffalo – Rochester – Syracuse Smart I-Corridor was named a federal Tech Hub. This designation will spur innovation and strengthen our local economy by creating more careers in advanced manufacturing.

“The RTMA is proud to announce this great news for the region as the Buffalo – Rochester – Syracuse corridor has been named a federal Tech Hub. This will allow our region to compete for billions of dollars in funding for advanced manufacturing for our community,” said RTMA Executive Director Bob Coyne. “The RTMA is an important piece of this collaborative effort. The region was selected as one of 31 awardees out of more than 400 applicants for Tech Hub designation. Thanks to our partners across the region for their support!”
