Youth Apprenticeship Week

Youth Apprenticeships in Finger Lakes Region

The Finger Lakes Youth Apprenticeship Program (FLYAP) bridges the gap between education and industry, offering high school students in the region opportunities to explore careers in advanced manufacturing. Through partnerships with local manufacturers and technical education programs, FLYAP helps students gain real-world skills and experience that set them up for future success. With job shadows, paid co-ops, facility tours, and career exploration activities, FLYAP is creating a skilled workforce ready for the modern manufacturing world.

How to Apply for the Program

Students interested in pursuing a career in advanced manufacturing must submit an application to be considered for the program. The program's Matching Day events allow students to interview with several advanced manufacturing companies.
