Benefits for Educators

Preparing your students for today’s workforce is vital to our region’s economy and quality of life. The Finger Lakes Youth Apprenticeship Program and its business partners work together to provide young people the opportunity for a job shadow or a paid co-op at dozens of local advanced manufacturing companies.
FLYAP also partners with Monroe Community College and its Dual Enrollment Program which allows some students to earn college credits at no cost to them or their families. Be part of the post high school discussion today by partnering with Team FLYAP!

Our Impact on Students

Since its launch in 2019, FLYAP has connected more than 800  students with over 150 businesses in the region. During their job shadows and paid co-ops, students gain valuable hands-on experience and industry knowledge to prepare them for the 21st-century workforce. FLYAP’s annual Signing Day events celebrate student and business participation by hosting a celebration for each location.
