RTMA Apprenticeship Program
In 2018, RTMA entered into an Intermediary Agreement with the New York State Department of Labor (NYSDOL) to be a Sponsor for thirteen (13) Advanced Manufacturing Trades. This allows the RTMA to bring companies under their Sponsorship, as a signatory and remove a significant burden from individual companies. Apprenticeship is a formalized training program that allows youth to learn while they earn.
The RTMA Intermediary apprenticeship programs currently have 23 companies and 117 individual apprentices registered through the NYSDOL trade outlines. These companies are in the Finger Lakes Region from Monroe, Genesee, Wayne, Orleans, Seneca, Livingston, Wyoming, Yates and Ontario counites.
